Yes and No. (Page 43)

This book is about saving souls. It is about helping you secure a solid and everlasting relationship with God. It is about helping you to know that God will meet you where you are. He desires with all his heart that you come to him. Whoever you are. Whatever the circumstances.

However, I am Catholic. Therefore, I can only write from my perspective as a Catholic. I am proud of my beliefs and faith, and I believe that the Catholic Church was founded by Jesus himself and remains a continuing true faith. I believe that Jesus is truly present in the Eucharist we receive at Communion in Mass, and I believe he is truly present when we are with him at Adoration.

In the end, however, whether you are Lutheran or Presbyterian or Nondenominational or Evangelical or Agnostic or “None” or “Questioning” or anywhere else in your faith journey, the Bible is the Word of God, and it is meant for everyone – every one.

Then Peter proceeded to speak and said, “In truth, I see that God shows no partiality. Rather, in every nation whoever fears him and acts uprightly is acceptable to him.” (Acts 10:34-35)

He knows you and your circumstances. He has called you by name even before you were conceived in the womb. "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born, I dedicated you." (Jeremiah 1:5) Whatever your circumstances, it will not surprise him. He knows your desires and hurts and sins and fears and joys before you can even tell him.

Following my Eucharistic Adoration experience, for days afterwards, I felt all the blessings we receive from God fall all around us. The blessings from God fall from the sky like warm, gentle, golden raindrops. They are so happy to be doing the will of God that they bounce for joy when they hit the ground. They fall on you and they fall on me and they fall on everyone.

Stop right now! Try to feel their warmth and comfort. Let them hug you and give you the courage and strength to move forward in your beliefs.

We must hold fast to belief in God, because, the lesson of the soul on the brink, the soul who was walking away from Jesus and choosing Hell, means, everything we’ve been taught and have come to believe – it’s all true!

So, let us all start this moment with a simple, humble prayer: Open our hearts, O Lord, to listen to the words of your Son. (cf. Acts: 16:14)
